Fred Hoover – Owner
Fred L Hoover III, born and raised in Warren County, TN, is a 4th generation owner of the family-owned Hoover & Son Insurance Agency, whose beginnings date back to 1901 in Viola, TN. After graduating from the University of the South in 1982, Fred worked in Dallas, TX, with the insurance adjusting firm Crawford & Company.
In 1984, he managed his office in Lawton, OK. After the birth of his first child in 1986, Fred and his wife Leslie moved back to McMinnville, TN. Fred joined the Hoover & Son team with his father and uncle, where he remains today in partnership with his brother-in-law, Robert Kirby.
Fred is the proud father of three grown children and spends his spare time marathon training, enjoying the great outdoors, and working on his cattle farm. He is a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Noon Rotary Club, and Main St. McMinnville.
